The thing I never liked about Glee was that they lived in a world where they understood all of these pop culture icons like Lady Gaga and Beyonce, but when Gwyneth Paltrow became their teacher they were completely oblivious

[[MORE]] For the most part, I don’t really know how much I miss someone until I speak with them again. When they’re gone, I’ll continue with my everyday life and do whatever, but seeing whoever I missed or speaking with them again always makes me think, “Holy cow I didn’t know my life was feeling so empty without you.” That sounded really cringe-worthy, but...

One of my friends is so adorably oblivious that if you asked her for a date, she’d probably tell you it’s the 23rd of June or something

Thinking
If nobody had ever told you about space, or the world off of Earth, what would you have thought as you looked up at the moon and stars? We’ve grown up with things explained to us, but if we looked at the night sky, would we have thought of the ideas of space ourselves? Would we have discovered a heliocentric universe? Would we have been brilliant?

[[MORE]] I’ve never really been the kind of person that someone goes to when they have a problem; it’s not something that’s really a part of me. I don’t tend to have those sort of warm relationships with people, but I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that it happens. For the most part, I get a little scared that I repel people from talking about those kind of...

I’m beginning to reconsider pursuing a career in science. As fascinating as it is, it takes the magic away from a lot of things. But then, maybe I’m just being ignorant. It’s probably better to look at the fact of reality and find happiness in whatever there is, because even if it’s small, at least it’s actually real. Actually no, I still want to be a scientist.

It’s funny how we have conscious thought, though the very atoms we are made up of are only ever these particles made of quarks trying to get a full shell of electrons.

Every year, I look back on my past year’s self and wonder at how I could have been so silly, or worried about the most insignificant of things. I know I could never want to stay a child forever; I need to grow! Learning different things, expanding your knowledge to add sophistication and thoughtfulness to your own opinions - this is what can make living so great. I feel like I’ve just...

Casengrando (cass-en-grahn-doe)
After being a band for about three years, we finally have a name for it (though it has yet to be approved by the last member of our group… let’s just write this post on the pretences that she likes it). It’s a mix of of all of our last names, and it succeeded a lot of really bad suggestions (HAHAHAH). So it’s basically Singer Shelley Macasero Bassist Lyn Thuy Nguyen ...

Challenges
A teacher at school told my classmates and I a story about heaven and hell once, where the man was sent to a place where all was white. He was told that he could have anything he wanted, so long as he asked. Over time, he had experienced everything with ease, though he felt a void in him; he longed for a challenge. When questioning the man there, he was told that a challenge was the one thing he...
